Bonsai with Texas Native Plants
Location
Thursday, March 20, 2025| 6 – 8 p.m.
Explore the history of Bonsai and the traditional techniques used in their creation. Instead of a traditional Japanese tree that requires more water, participants will use water-wise Texas native plants to create a bonsai of their own to thrive outside in the Texas heat. Each participant will receive all materials to pot, trim, and take home a bonsai. Throughout this class, the use of drought-tolerant native species will be highlighted both in and out of the ground.
Fee: $65 ($50 member). Registration ends when class is filled.
Instructor: Zachary Ritchie, Conservation Technician, San Antonio Botanical Garden
