Employment Opportunities

Gardener

The Gardener is responsible for installing and maintaining horticultural displays to meet the standards of horticultural excellence set for the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Knowledge of maintenance or installation for display and educational purposes in public gardens is especially desired.

Education Interpreter

Under the direct supervision of the San Antonio Botanical Garden Youth and Family Programs Specialist, the education interpreter will offer mission based educational experiences that connect garden visitors to the importance of plants and nature.

Full-Time Unarmed Security Office

The unarmed security officer’s main function is to ensure the safety and security of garden guests, staff, and garden property. The officer may be called upon to assist with directing guests to event venues, restrooms, the gift shop, and the major garden structures.

Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer

The unarmed security officer’s main function is to ensure the safety and security of garden guests, staff, and garden property. The officer may be called upon to assist with directing guests to event venues, restrooms, the gift shop, and the major garden structures.

Education Assistant

Under the direct supervision of the San Antonio Botanical Garden Youth and Family Programs Specialist, the Education Assistant will offer educational programs and experiences that communicate the importance of plants and nature.

Custodian

The Custodian works independently to provide support necessary for event preparation and implementation. 

Guest Experience Associate

The Guest Experience Associate is responsible for making an exceptional first and last impression on the guests, and provides excellent customer service in a professional, friendly, and positive manner.

Events Facilitator

The Event Facilitator provides operational functions before, during, and after events and assists with site set-up and tear-down

Internship Opportunities

Marketing Intern

The Digital Marketing Intern will assist with the daily operations of the marketing department. Duties will include administrative support for the department and assisting with photography, social media, email, and the website.

Volunteer Opportunities

Interested in volunteering at the Garden? No experience is needed—just a love of the Garden and a desire to support its mission. The minimum age to volunteer at the Garden is 14. All volunteers over 18 must consent to a background check. Learn more about becoming a volunteer.
