To align with our mission of enriching lives through plants and nature, the Garden has committed to increasing community access to our spaces through the new Shuttle Access Program launching in the Spring of 2024. This program aims to welcome visitors from across the city of San Antonio by removing distance and transportation as one of the most common barriers of inclusion.

Who can schedule a visit through the Shuttle Access Program?

We encourage those who are part of community partner groups in Bexar County and nearby counties to schedule a visit through the Shuttle Access Program. All ages are welcome.

Visits to the Garden typically last between 2 to 4 hours. We suggest planning your visit for a 5-hour time window, including transportation time.

How should I prepare for my visit?

After scheduling your visit through our scheduling form, and receiving your email confirmation we encourage you to see our Garden Map to learn more about our grounds.

During your visit, we advise you to wear comfortable shoes and clothing. A hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and bug repellent are also encouraged. You may also bring an umbrella and a water bottle if necessary. Water fountains are available across the garden, and bottled water is sold at the Garden Gift Shop.
