Foraging in the Wild: A Beginner’s Guide to Edible Plants

This foraging class will introduce participants to the basics of identifying, harvesting, and ethically gathering edible plants found within the region. Participants will learn hands-on skills that can enhance their understanding of local ecosystems while providing practical knowledge on safe foraging techniques. This educational experience will also emphasize the importance of respecting nature, ensuring sustainable practices, and protecting Botanical Gardens’ biodiversity. The class will include plant identification, guidance on proper harvesting methods, and insights into historical and cultural uses of plants.
