Welcome to the Garden
The San Antonio Botanical Garden serves as a 38-acre living museum of plants, tranquil escape, living classroom, research and conservation facility, and entertainment venue where art and cultural experiences come to life. Visitors of all ages and abilities are invited to support the ongoing mission by joyfully experiencing everything the Garden has to offer.

Attention Members
- Members-only Hour: 7 – 8 a.m., daily. No additional reservation required for Members-only Hour. Please present your membership card or valid ID at the admissions kiosk.
- Memberships: If you purchase or renew a membership online, simply bring your purchase confirmation email as your ticket for your first visit (no additional online reservation required).

- A limited number of mobility scooters are available for rent during general operating hours.
- Mobility scooters are $25 per 4 hour time period.

Please note that there is limited on-site parking. Guests are encouraged to carpool, use public transit, or utilize a rideshare service, particularly Friday through Sunday and on major holidays.

Group Rates
- For groups of 15 or more, guests receive a $2 per ticket discount.
- Reservations must be made a minimum of two weeks in advance by filling out this form.
- Does not apply to school groups; for more information about school tours, please visit this page.
General admission tickets are non-refundable and valid only for the date and time listed on the ticket. Unredeemed tickets are considered a donation to the San Antonio Botanical Garden.
To fully ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, the Botanical Garden asks for your help by adhering to the guest guidelines listed below. Those who do not comply may regretfully have their visit ended early. Shirts and shoes must always be worn. Young children only must wear swimsuits, swim diapers, or swim trunks in the Family Adventure Garden’s designated splash area. The Botanical Garden reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone who refuses to comply with this policy. The Garden is readily accessible to guests of varying mobility; wheelchairs and mobility scooters are welcomed. The Garden has a limited number of wheelchairs available for guest use; mobility scooters are available for rent for $25 per 4-hour time period.Garden Etiquette

Parking
The Botanical Garden has limited free parking. Lot A offers the closest parking to the admissions kiosk, entry area, and the Garden Gift Shop.
Via Bus Route 11
VIVA, San Antonio’s VIA culture bus route, connects riders with museums, parks, theaters, art galleries, and the zoo. Fares are $2.75 for an unlimited day pass or $2.30 for a single fare, and the bus offers convenient service to the Botanical Garden every 30 minutes. For more information, click here.
Personal Use Photography
San Antonio Botanical Garden guests are welcome to take informal photographs and videos of the Garden for personal use as long as they stay on the paths and do not disturb the plants or collections. Personal use photography equipment is limited to camera phones, tablets, or a camera with an attached flash. Tripods, standalone flashes, and drones are prohibited.
Special Occasion Photography
Special Occasion Photography is any wedding, engagement, anniversary, quinceañera, maternity, birthday, graduation, prom, or any staged photoshoot. These sessions are allowed only during the Garden’s regular business hours.
Special Occasion Photography Guidelines
- The fee for special occasion photography is $195 for up to 8 persons, including your hired photographer and assistants, for a maximum of two hours.*
- Should the group be larger than 8, the fee is $25 per additional person.
- Additional hours may be purchased at a rate of $75 per hour.
- Tripods, light reflectors, and small standalone flashes are allowed.
- Garden membership does not entitle the party, or any part thereof, to waive this fee.
- Small, hand-held objects are welcome, including stuffed animals, bouquets, birdseed, blankets, and small signs.
- Wardrobe changes in the Garden or facilities, restrooms, or parking lots are not allowed.
- Sessions may be purchased onsite at the Admissions Kiosk. No advance registration is required.
- Sessions are not scheduled after hours, on days the Garden is closed, or during specific private events.
- Keep pathways, entrances, or other access areas clear. Always remain on the pathway.
- Drones, furniture, helium balloons, confetti, and flower petals are prohibited.
* Passes will be issued for your party indicating that you have purchased a photography session. One member of the party will reserve the passes with their ID. This ID will be returned to you once all members of your party are ready to exit the Garden.
Commercial On-location Filming and Photography
Commercial film and photography projects require prior approval from the Botanical Garden. Location fees apply. Please complete and submit the Project Form. You may also contact the marketing department at marketing@sabot.org or 210.536.1411.

Guest Photography and Video Permission
Guests may be photographed, or video recorded during their visit by the Botanical Garden or its agents. Paid admission grants permission to the Botanical Garden to utilize the guest’s image, likeness, and/or sound recordings for the purpose whatsoever in perpetuity.
