Sembrando Tradiciones: Fiestas Patrias by Guadalupe Dance Company

Kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with an energetic and festive performance by the Guadalupe Dance Company celebrating the cultural traditions of Mexico. Sembrando Tradiciones (planting traditions) – Fiestas Patrias is a vibrant cultural experience that will take you on a journey through various regions in Mexico that include the lively polkas from the Northern region, the staccato rhythms of the huapangos, tropical songs of the Coastal region and of course no show would be complete without the sounds and color of Jalisco. San Antonio Botanical Garden’s popular Summer Nights event return with a Frida Kahlo twist! This performance is part of the Botanical Garden’s Noches de Frida, extended Thursday night hours at its 38-acre urban oasis. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Guests are welcomed to bring lawn chairs and blankets.

The Guadalupe Dance Company is a Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Artist and regularly performs in and around San Antonio and throughout Texas.
