Culinary Passport: Transylvania

Transylvania! Vlad the Impaler! Vampires! And… delicious food!? Did you know Transylvanian and Romanian food is super yummy? Wear your vampire garb to this fun themed Passport class where you will learn about Romanian cooking traditions. We will learn to make bulz – pan fried polenta balls stuffed with cheese, fasole batuta – creamy white bean dip, and Varza a la Cluj – a Romanian-type shepherd’s pie. For dessert you will be served plum dumplings. We will also have a Visinata (a cherry liquor) cocktail, beer and great non-alcoholic options. If you happen to be a guest at this class, the only thing you will be impaled with is a sense of delight at these delicious Transylvanian foods. Ages 21+.
