Botany of Thanksgiving

While most of the country spends this season enjoying a bountiful harvest and preparing for the cold winter, Texans keep a hopeful eye on the weather for the heat breaking and refreshing rain. Join Michael Eason and get into the Thanksgiving holiday spirit learning about the plants that make up our Texas Thanksgiving feast. He’ll cover the ethnobotany, etymology, and history of some of the common and uncommon plants that grace our tables, primarily focusing on native Texas plants.
Fee: $15 ($13.50 member). Includes Garden Admission. WaterSaver Rewards Eligible.
