CHEF Teaching Kitchen & Goldsbury Foundation Pavilion
Discover your inner chef and learn how fresh food grows. This new space highlights the Garden’s partnership with Culinary Health and Education for Families (CHEF) programming, providing families with the knowledge and the skills to prepare healthy food at home. Classes with a range of topics are offered for all ages giving visitors the opportunity to experience this new and exciting outdoor culinary experience.
Garden Connection: Conservation
The Halsell Welcome Building, H-E-B Discovery Building, and CHEF Teaching Kitchen are powered by 99 solar panels located atop the Goldsbury Foundation Pavilion. A 29,000 gallon underground cistern inThe Zachry Foundation Culinary Garden captures rain water and air conditioning condensate for use in the Mays Family Display Garden and other water features.
