Garden Tea Party: String Fling!

Join us for a delightfully refined indoor program in our Garden! Our rustically elegant afternoon tea includes a backyard horticulture and culinary presentation, and a splendid Southern style multi-course sweet and savory tea menu, featuring our own seasonal produce. Live acoustic performances by Miss Olivia Eguia (acoustic guitar and voice), and sisters Vivi and Ingrid Peters (violin). For ages 9+.
Fee: $35 ($31.50 member)

Cocktail Scavenger Hunt: Incredible Edible Flowers

Hunt, snap, sip! Challenge yourself and your companions to a flowery Cocktail Scavenger Hunt. Find and photograph ingredients growing in the Garden with an educational map and then present them to the culinary team in exchange for a refreshing spritzer-based cocktail, featuring summer’s most beautiful edibles, and paired tasting menu. This event is open to ages 21+.

Fee: $25 ($22.50 member)

The Blue Zone: Long Life Cuisine (Ikaria, Greece)

Ikaria, Greece: A jewel in the Aegean Sea, navigate the splendor of the Mediterranean Diet rich in vegetables, healthy fats, and just a bit of dairy and meat proteins. People in some areas of the world are known for living a long and healthy life, to a large degree from their local diets. We explore these places’ cuisines, and celebrate delicious, healthy recipes through multi-course demonstration and tasting. And we’ll harvest from our own garden, as well!

Date Night in the Garden: Charc in the Dark!

We’re creating another romantic culinary evening at the garden, showcasing the art of accoutrements, all the wonderful garnishes like jams, pickles, and sauces that pair with the savory cured meats that go on the charcuterie board. Guests will build their own boards together. For ages 21+.
Fee: $60 per person ($54 per member)

Join us for a delightfully refined indoor program in our Garden! It will include a backyard horticulture and culinary presentation during a splendid multi-course sweet and savory tea menu, including a refreshing tea-based spritzer (alcohol and non-alcohol versions available), and featuring our own seasonal produce; as well as hydroponically grown microgreens from Freshwater farms. For ages 9+.

People in some areas of the world are known for living a long and healthy life, to a large degree from their local diets. We explore these places’ cuisines, and celebrate delicious, healthy recipes through multi-course demonstration and tasting. And we’ll harvest from our own garden, as well!

Plant-Forward Cooking: Basil, Basil, Basil!

Basil is in season, and we’ve planted six unique cultivars with their own aromas and flavors! We’ve put together an educational talk on how to grow this wonder-herb at home, a chef demo featuring our cultivars, followed by a delicious multi-course tasting. Vegan and Vegetarian cuisine continues to grow quickly in popularity in San Antonio, and there’s a good reason why – it’s delicious! Come to the Garden for a green culinary experience, focusing on localism and seasonality, and well as exotic colors, textures, and amazing flavors.
