Do you have a home garden, raised bed, or lush landscaping? Join Gardopia Gardens as they discuss home garden irrigation systems. Learn the importance of irrigation, the components involved, and how to create systems with water conservation in mind. Topics include: Wi-Fi enabled devices, soil moisture sensors, poly-tubing, PVC, backflow prevention, pressure regulators, emitter usage, and installation.
About the Instructors:
Stephen Lucke, Gardopia Gardens Founder/CEO, holds a B.S. in Biochemistry and a M.A. in Nutrition from the University of the Incarnate Word, an Organic Farmer Certification and is currently a NASA Community College Aerospace Scholar.
Dominic Dominguez holds a B.S. in Environmental Science & Policy with a Specialization in Biology from St. Edward’s University and a M.A. in Sustainability & Development from Southern Methodist University. As a LEED practitioner and sustainability professional, Dominic’s interests consider spatial design, urban planning, applied research, GIS analysis, 3D modeling, triple-net-zero/regenerative infrastructure initiatives, and equity expansion.
Fee: $15 ($13.50 member). Registration deadline is at time of event. WaterSaver Rewards Eligible. Fee includes entrance to Garden.
