Canceled Family Workshop: Prickly Pear Dyed Paper
Saturday, September 20, 2025 | 3 pm – 6 pm
Learn how to make and dye handmade paper in this hands-on introductory class! Participants will get to make 5” x 7” paper from recycled materials by using a mould and deckle, which they can take home after the class. During the paper-making process, participants will also incorporate natural magenta dye made from prickly pear fruits and enjoy a themed beverage (non-alcoholic)! While paper is drying, the class will get to see the special cactus exhibition in our conservatories. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Contact sdudley@sabot.org with questions.
Recommended for ages 8 and up.
Fee: $35 adult ($30 adult member); $30 child ($27 child member).
