Chop ‘n’ Prop: Propagation Basics

Location

San Antonio Botanical Garden
555 Funston Place, San Antonio, TX

Saturday, June 28th, 2025 | 1 – 2:30 p.m.

You can grow many plants by taking cuttings from the original plant. This includes drought-tolerant Texas natives, houseplants, and succulents. During the class, we’ll start by discussing the different ways plants can be propagated, then dive into a hands-on session using Texas native plants you can take home to grow. Promoting the use of Texas native plants encourages water conservation and supports local ecosystems.

Fee: $25 ($20 member)

Instructor: Anthony Sierra, Lead Conservation Educator, San Antonio Botanical Garden
