Healthy Trees and Certified Arborist Preparation Course: Session 1 | February 1, 9am-4pm

This course was designed for the citizen who wants to stay safe while improving the health of trees and learn more about the value of trees and also prepare professional arborists for an ISA Certified Arborist examination.

Course schedule:
•February 1: Tree Identification,Tree Biology, Installation and Establishment, Soil Science
•February 8: Water Management, Tree Nutrition and Fertilization,Tree Selection, Tree Support
•February 15: Plant Health Care, Diagnosis and Plant Disorders, Pruning and Oak Wilt,Tree Assessment and Risk Management
•February 22: Trees and Construction, Urban Forestry, Tree Worker Safety, Climbing and Working in Trees

Fee: $300 includes all four classes as well as the Arborist Certification Study Guide (a $115 value)
Course offered in Partnership with the San Antonio Arborist Association and Alamo Forest Partnership.
