Title 1 School Funding
The San Antonio Botanical Garden is pleased to offer funding for a limited time to qualifying Title I schools in the San Antonio area.
The application window for this funding is Sept. 1 – Nov. 30, to visit the Botanical Garden between September and the end of February.
Funds are limited and to qualify, ALL of the following criteria must be met:
- Title 1 Status
- Public School
- Grade levels Pre-K through 12
- Visit must be between Sept. 1 and Feb. 28
Title I funding will cover admission to the Botanical Garden for students and teachers to any of the Botanical Garden’s school group visit programs. Grants will not cover admission for parents or non-school chaperones. Those persons will receive the discounted group rate of $15 adults/$5 children.
Funds are limited, but the Botanical Garden will do its best to serve as many schools as possible.
Bus Reimbursement
The Botanical Garden can also provide up to $150 bus fees reimbursement. Bus reimbursement assistance has been generously funded by HEB.
How to Apply
To apply, download the Title 1 funding application. Complete the application and email it to Jessica Wolanski at jwolanski@sabot.org to be considered.
Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to meeting the above criteria. Submitting an application does not guarantee funding. You will be notified in writing of approval status.
Visits will not be booked until the applicant is apprised of funding application status and there is no need to fill out the group visit request form in addition to this one.
