Sr. Manager of Sales and Events
The Senior Manager of Sales and Events plays a pivotal role at the Garden by driving revenue through private and internal events. This position leads daily sales operations, supervises a results-oriented team, and is directly accountable for revenue generation, client engagement, and event execution. With a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences and cultivating industry relationships, the Senior Manager actively promotes the San Antonio Botanical Garden as the city’s premier destination for unforgettable events.
Culinary Programs Manager
The Culinary Programs Manager is responsible for managing the daily operations of the culinary programs in collaboration with the Director of Adult Learning. Using best practices and audience feedback they will design and provide relevant, engaging, and high-quality programming to deepen guests’ connections with edible plants, cooking, and overall wellness. This position requires the ability to teach as well as train and oversee a full-time Culinary Programs Coordinator, part-time culinary educators, contractors, and volunteers to lead and support culinary programs. While the primary audience served is adults, this position will work closely with other members of the department to serve school, youth, family, intergenerational, and community access audiences. This position also requires a balance of earning revenue through paid classes while providing accessible experiences.
Fountains Specialist
Fountains Specialist will be responsible for the Spring Startup and winterization of all features in the Garden. They will also manage the testing and inspection of the interactive water feature, conducting required maintenance of all water features, installation and remodel of new and existing systems and the record keeping of all work.
Junior Graphic Designer
The Graphic Designer plays a key role in bringing the Garden’s brand to life through compelling, on-strategy visual content across print and digital platforms. From brochures and signage to social media graphics and product design, this position supports the full creative lifecycle—from concept and layout to execution and delivery. The Graphic Designer collaborates closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and the Director of Marketing to create audience-centric, polished visuals that enhance the Garden’s storytelling and drive engagement.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers must commit to 24 hours annually. Volunteers must attend volunteer orientation and any additional training needed for each program. Volunteer orientation is online. The cost of joining the volunteer program is a one-time fee of $30 background check. If this is cost prohibitive, please reach out to cblumenberg@sabot.org. Volunteers are required to be over 18.
