Terrific Treehouses

The San Antonio Botanical Society is bringing Terrific Treehouses to the San Antonio Botanical Garden from August 30, 2008 to December 7, 2008. We all have our own vision or memories of treehouses – either from our childhood days when we gathered materials from the neighborhood to build the “coolest treehouse ever” or from movies such as “Swiss Family Robinson.” For children today who have less and less exposure to the natural world, this experience in nature can trigger a life-long connection to the world of plants.

From traditional to fantasy, Terrific Treehouses will feature up to nine locally designed treehouses intended to delight and stir the imagination of our guests. Terrific Treehouses encourages guests to experience the wonder of our extensive plant collection, as well as to learn about the beneficial aspects of trees. Designed for fun adventure, Terrific Treehouses is for the young at heart, no matter the age.
