Summer Nights at the Botanical Garden

Live music, food trucks, giant lawn games, fun activities and more

The San Antonio Botanical Garden is extending its hours to 8:30 p.m. so you can enjoy Summer Nights every Thursday beginning June 27 and ending on Thursday, August 15 (extended hours will not apply on Thursday, July 4, due to special event). Please note the Family Adventure Garden No Name Creek stream will run until 8 p.m.

This Summer Nights series invites the San Antonio community and beyond to experience the Botanical Garden’s 38 acres of nature space with live music, food trucks, giant lawn games, plant activities, and more. Visitors are welcomed to bring a picnic (food, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages), lawn chairs, and blankets.

Cost: Regular admission rates apply. Click here for admission prices and visitor guidelines.

Reoccurring Activities for each Thursday:

Gift Shop (9 a.m. – 8 p.m.) – Find a unique selection of home and garden decor items for all ages.
Rosella at the Garden (4 – 7 p.m.) – Half off frozen margaritas $3
Plant Activity (5 – 7 p.m.) – Learn about the various plant families and practice identifying the plants in the garden.
Guided Walk in the Garden (5:30 – 7 p.m.) – Walks are led by experienced garden docents and will include different parts of the garden based on the interests of the attendees.
Culinary Docents (5:30 – 8 p.m.) – Ask Texas A&M AgriLife Extension trained Master Gardener volunteers your home gardening questions.

Thursday, August 15:

Live Music by Eastside Birds (5 – 8 p.m.)
The Jerk Shack Food Truck (5 – 8 p.m.) (available for purchase)
CHEF Drop-in Demonstrations (5 – 8 p.m.)

Parking: Free parking is available at the Botanical Garden.

Please Note: The Botanical Garden asks that you also limit the amount of breakable or glass bottles by using reusable beverage containers. No pets are allowed on the Botanical Garden property, with the exception of certified service animals.
