With that change, donations and volunteer support from the greater community are more critical than ever. Help the Botanical Garden continue to deliver an exceptional array of educational and cultural experiences centered around the living world of plants to more than 170,000 visitors a year.
All gifts are 100% tax deductible and directly support education, conservation, horticulture and operational efforts.

Tribute and Memorial Gifts
Give a gift that grows. Celebrate life’s greatest moments or remember someone special with a tribute gift.
Whether you are looking for a unique and unexpected gift for a friend, a meaningful tribute to remember someone special, a fun thank you gift for a business associate, or a thoughtful way to honor a family member’s accomplishment, a Tribute Gifts at the San Antonio Botanical Garden honors that special someone.
The San Antonio Botanical Garden is enjoyed by over 170,000 visitors each year. Our thirty-eight acres offer a variety of themed gardens, unique historic homesteads, an award-winning Conservatory, over four miles of trails, a tranquil lake, and fun for the whole family.
By dedicating a year-long living garden bed, a tree, or a bench you bring the gift of beauty and recognition to your loved one, friend, or family member.
Show family, friends or colleagues that you’re thinking of them, while providing critical resources for the Botanical Garden. A personalized card will be sent to your honoree or their family, notifying them of your generous gift on their behalf.
Minimum Donation: $25
Choose a beautiful and ever-growing garden bed.
Annual Living Bed: $500 – one (1) year dedication
- Ten (10) linear foot bed in one of eight (8) areas in the Botanical Garden
- Opportunity to visit the Botanical Garden to choose your living bed with a member of the Development staff.
- Personal acknowledgment is sent to the family or individual being honored with a photo of the bed, without reference to the size of the gift.
- 4” x 6” personalized signage (up to 3 lines or 140 characters including spaces)
Choose a tree from the shady canopy in the Botanical Garden.
Established Tree: $10,000 – ten (10) year dedication
Budding Tree: $5,000 – five (5) year dedication
- Opportunity to visit the Botanical Garden to choose your tree with a member of the Development staff.
- Personal acknowledgment is sent to the family or individual being honored with a photo of the tree, without reference to the size of the gift.
- Evergreen signage with up to three (3) lines of personalized text is placed with your Tribute Tree
- Recognition in the Botanical Garden Annual Report.
An enduring gift for all to enjoy.
Six (6) foot teak bench: $10,000 – ten (10) year placement or for the life of the bench with custom eight inch brass plaque
- Opportunity to visit the Botanical Garden to choose your bench with a member of the Development staff.
- Personal acknowledgment is sent to the family or individual being honored with a photo of the bench, without reference to the size of the gift.
- Recognition in the Botanical Garden Annual Report.

Retirement Plan or Life Insurance
Gifts through estate plans are not for everyone. Some prefer the increased flexibility that a beneficiary designation provides by using:

It is very simple to name the San Antonio Botanical Garden as a beneficiary. Start by requesting a change-of-beneficiary form from your policy administrator or download the form from your provider’s website. Make your desired changes and return the form to establish your gift.

Corporate Sustainability Roundtable
The San Antonio Botanical Garden serves as a nexus for companies seeking to broaden their environmental leadership and corporate social responsibility. Open to senior leadership, the newly established Corporate Roundtable on Sustainability provides an informal, collaborative forum for companies committed to bringing conservation and sustainability to their operations.
Three times per year, local executives gather at the Botanical Garden for 90-minute presentations from companies with demonstrated strengths and successes. Topics range from creating sustainable facilities and incorporating cutting-edge systems that often improve the bottom line to increasing employee commitment to sustainability in the workplace and measuring specific long-term goals. Participants discuss their aspirations, share best practices, exchange ideas and support each other’s goals and challenges.
Demonstrate your commitment to supporting the local community and your workforce by providing employees with a meaningful way to multiply their philanthropy. In-kind support provides direct budget relief for the Botanical Garden. The organization relies on products and services for many programs as well as day-to-day operations. Volunteer opportunities at the Botanical Garden vary by season as well as current needs. The minimum age to volunteer at the Botanical Garden is 12, and volunteers younger than 15 years must be accompanied by an adult. Learn more.
