Daytime Meetings or Receptions
Meetings or receptions for parties of 80 or fewer may be held during regular business hours in the Education Building or the Auld House. The Education Building has a wonderful view of Fountain Plaza and has direct access to the parking lot. The Education Building will accommodate up to 45 people. The historic Hill Country cabin seats 35 indoors and the adjacent outdoor patio seats an additional 40 guests. Food and beverage are permitted and must be provided by an approved caterer. These caterers have been hand-picked by the garden. They are familiar with our grounds and offer premium service. Click here for the list.
Receptions held after our regular business hours are scheduled for four hours. Additional time is available on a per hour basis. The event may begin no earlier than 6:00 pm and end no later than 11:00 pm. Moderate amplified music is allowed. With the exception of the Auld House, our venue sites are outdoors. Tents may be rented through Aztec Tents and Events.

The security deposit, one-half of the rental fee, and a complete rental agreement are required to reserve a date and area for your event.
Lucile Halsell Conservatory Courtyard
The glass pyramids of our signature landmark Lucile Halsell Conservatory surround an interior courtyard centered around a serene water garden. The courtyard and adjacent covered walkways will accommodate up to 250 seated. Guests have access to the exhibit room featuring a collection of tropical plants. The dramatic setting is an excellent location for a ceremony, strolling reception, or a seated dinner.
This highly desirable outdoor setting offers a variety of enchanting venues including an expansive lawn, flagstone paved plaza and an intimate arbor all centered around a majestic fountain. The peaceful sounds of running water amidst lush plantings make this location ideal for small intimate parties or for larger events of up to 400.
This historic Hill Country cabin with outdoor covered patio accommodates up to 80 guests in the combined indoor/outdoor space, with seating up to 35 indoors. The Garden provides an appropriate number of chairs, six 48” rounds, and 10 six-foot tables. An adjoining full kitchen is available for use. This quaint dwelling is perfect for intimate gatherings.
This historic above-ground water reservoir has been converted into a beautiful setting for an afternoon or evening gathering. Wisteria and trumpet vine adorn columns surrounding the venue creating a picturesque and romantic atmosphere. This site filled with romantic ambience accommodates up to 350 seated.
Caterers and Rental Fees
Food and drink including alcoholic beverages must be provided by one of the garden approved caterers. These caterers have been hand-picked by the garden. They are familiar with our grounds and offer premium service. You may choose from one of our Approved Caterers listed here.
