Want to turn kids to the wonders of the plant world and the importance of stewardship? Come participate in our revamped Children’s Education Terrarium Program!
Learn how to teach children to build terrariums, and train in our new Conservatory Exploration Activity, which guides each classroom of students on a scavenger hunt of two conservatory rooms. Volunteers will facilitate hands-on, engaging activities and will utilize teachers and chaperones attending with each class to implement activities.
These two components will make up the Spring 2016 Terrarium Ecosystem Program. Two trainings are required to have as many instructors as possible trained in the new program as the Garden’s Program Department begins its busiest season.
Unable to attend orientation?
If you are interested specifically in becoming a Garden Greeter or Terrarium Volunteer and are unable to attend orientation please contact the Volunteer Coordinator to set up an appointment for an individual orientation.
